We’re opening a portal in Los Angeles for one night, and you’re invited on the manifest. Five eras of music, and an immersive costume party with everyone dressed for the best time of their lives: live music, comedy, burlesque, swing dancing, 80s & 90s anthems, DJs and lasers straight from the future.
Once upon a time, balls were invitation-only, a way to show strength. Then masquerade balls came along, and everyone could be anyone. Now we’re throwing the present-day version: one room, one night, one ball, where creative communities that rarely get to dance together, get to gather at a party where nobody is sure what year or time it is, where you can be anyone you want to be, and where nobody cares when anyone is from. All aboard!

The first tickets are Founding Traveler fares, the lowest price in this timeline, for the ones who believe in the future. When they’re gone, the next opportunity opens, and the fare climbs a little higher. Time can be funny that way.

The Time Travelers Ball is meant to bring together LA communities and cultures that love to dress up and play, and that rarely get to share a room: Renaissance faire regulars, swing dancers, cosplayers, comedy lovers, burlesque fans, festival and fire flow artists, burners in leather and feather, and the Los Angeles underground house, techno, and bass scene in LED. Each community arrives for their own era. Everyone leaves having found new groups of well-dressed enthusiasts. And maybe some new time traveling friends.
Each traveler receives a passport. Find the stations, travel through time, collect a stamp at each one, and take home a keepsake from every corner of the multiverse.
Part costume party, part masquerade ball, part theatrical gala. If you live for Halloween events, themed parties, and functions with flair, if you never pass up a good opportunity to dress up, or if you love getting into character, then this is your night. Of all the Los Angeles events on your calendar, this is the one you can go all out for.
Choose an era, mix them all up, or arrive from a time we haven’t visited yet. Bring your crew, bring your date, or come and find your people somewhere between 10,000 BC and 4,000 AD. Anyway you travel, just be there on time!
